Open and unlock the app
Visit fitness.bioascend.app on your phone or computer. Enter the trainer access code supplied by BioAscend.
BioAscend Fitness is a free, mobile-friendly training-plan and workout-log app. Build a programme, send it to your client, and give them a simple way to record every session.
Trainer setup
Visit fitness.bioascend.app on your phone or computer. Enter the trainer access code supplied by BioAscend.
At the top of the app, select Edit beside Personal Trainer and Client. Enter your name and the client’s name.
Use Build in the bottom menu. Add workout days, then add strength exercises or cardio. Include targets and coaching notes where useful.
Open Train to review each workout. Use Edit on an exercise to change its name, target or notes. Delete unwanted exercises or entire workout tabs as required.
Open More → Download backup. This saves a small .json file containing the programme. Save it somewhere you can find, such as Files, Downloads, OneDrive, iCloud or Google Drive.
Send the client: (1) the app link, (2) your trainer access code, and (3) their backup file. Email, text, WhatsApp or another secure method is fine.
Each phone stores its own copy. Changes you make later on your phone do not automatically update the client’s phone. Download and resend a new backup whenever you revise their plan.
Client handoff
The colour slider under More changes the accent colour and saves it on that phone. The purple BioAscend theme is the default.
Tap the BioAscend logo at the top or Bio Home in the bottom menu to visit the wider BioAscend ecosystem.
Training plans, workout entries and progress remain in the browser storage on the client’s device. They are not automatically visible to the trainer or BioAscend.
Anonymous usage measurement
BioAscend anonymously records the trainer access code and a random device identifier to measure app usage. No names, contact details or workout information are collected.
If a backup is missing, check the phone’s Downloads or Files app. If the plan appears empty, upload the latest .json backup again. Clearing browser data can remove locally stored progress, which is why regular backups matter.
